Do I have to purchase the upgrade?

Absolutely not. Upgrading from SendStudio to eMedia Email Marketer is *completely optional*. If you don't upgrade you can continue to run SendStudio and will still receive support and bug fixes as long as you have a valid support contract with us.

Can I run SendStudio and eMedia Email Marketer side-by-side?

Yes. If you're a digital agency you don't have to upgrade your existing users. You can let them use SendStudio and put your new customers onto eMedia Email Marketer. On top of this, you can also offer your existing SendStudio customers the chance to upgrade to eMedia Email Marketer. Features such as segments, 20 new templates and massive usability improvements are all things they can consider as justification for upgrading.

What if I can't afford to upgrade?

If you're a digital agency you can pass the cost of upgrading onto your customers. For example, if you currently charge them £30/month now for SendStudio and they would like to upgrade to eMedia Email Marketer 5.5, you can start charging them £40 per month for the new features they are receiving. If you can show them a demo of eMedia Email Marketer 5.5's new features, there's a great chance they will want to upgrade.

If you're an end user then you will need to consider the benefits of upgrading VS the cost to upgrade (only £249). If you need new features such as contact segments, new email templates, customizing the View Contacts page, etc then you should consider the upgrade. If not, and SendStudio works fine for you then great - you don't have to upgrade.

Can I still purchase SendStudio user accounts?

No, but you can keep using your existing SendStudio user accounts for as long as you like. You will *never* be forced to upgrade to eMedia Email Marketer 5.5. Upgrading is completely optional.

I have been using SendStudio for sometime but why are you charging for upgrades?

In order to make eMedia Email Marketer the best email marketing software we can, we have to employ a team of talented developers, and this costs real money.

By passing on the costs of upgrades to our customers, we can continue to hire great developers who can add features and improve the usability of eMedia Email Marketer as we release new versions, making the product even better and easier for you and your customers to use.

Can I still purchase extra website licenses at a discounted rate?

If you're a digital agency offering email marketing software to your clients, then please consider joining our partner program, where you can receive discounts on licenses, training, leads and more.

Why isn't eMedia Email Marketer included free as part of my support and updates period?

Support and updates for SendStudio entitle you to product support and updates that include bug fixes, security patches and other minor updates. Major upgrades are not included free.

What is the future upgrade policy for eMedia Email Marketer?

What happens to my existing support if I upgrade?

You will continue to receive support and updates for SendStudio during your current support contract. If you upgrade to eMedia Email Marketer you will still receive support for SendStudio, but will receive 3 months of free support and updates (this can be extended to 6 or 12 months for a small additional fee during the upgrade process) for eMedia Email Marketer from the day you purchase the upgrade.
